Shoulder Pain Workshop

Free

with Foothills Staff

Calendar Oct 18, 2023 at 6 pm, runs for 1 week

Do you or someone you know have shoulder pain? Due to its anatomy, the shoulder joint is one of the most mobile joints in the body and allows us to do complex motions to work, play sports, and even perform simple activities such as dressing ourselves. Unfortunately, the highly mobile shoulder joint also makes it susceptible to injury. When our shoulders hurt, our quality of life suffers. This workshop will provide details on the causes of shoulder pain and how it can be managed. We will teach you how a healthy shoulder works and what happens when the joint does not, or cannot, function properly. You will learn when surgery may or may not be needed and how it can be treated more conservatively. Recent studies show that, in most cases, shoulder injuries respond well to non-surgical interventions. Please pre-register as we need a minimum of 4 people to run the course and space is limited to 20.
