Create and take home a beautiful, handmade pinecone wreath! This class will move at a relaxed pace and is great for beginners and novices and just as fun for the more advanced crafters as well. Come relax, socialize, and create a great work of art: a lovely decoration or the perfect Christmas gift. All materials, decorations, and tools are provided and an extra set can be taken home to make another wreath as well. Please pre-register as a minimum of 3 people is required to run the course.

What is fast fashion? Examine the environmental and social impacts of fast fashion and its contribution to waste, pollution, and labor practices. Explore sustainable alternatives and consumer actions to mitigate these issues, as well as ways to properly manage textile waste. Join us to understand the true cost of fast fashion and discover how we can promote a more ethical and sustainable industry. Registration closes on 11/15. Beatrice Johnson, BS Ecology & Environmental Sciences from UMO, has been working in environmental sustainability since she graduated. She has found her place in teaching sustainable waste management and loves to see people taking simple steps to reduce their carbon footprint, bettering the future of the world.

 

 

UKULELE FOR BEGINNERS - LIVE ONLINE, SESSION 3

This is your chance to learn to play this amazingly versatile instrument. You’ll need an ukulele, some curiosity, a love of music, and time to practice. Join our stress-free program for plenty of fun and learning. You won’t want to stop once you have mastered the fundamentals. The nicest part is that you don’t have to read music! Sign up, tune up, and show up to start your musical adventure now! Buying a ukulele? Duncan can provide you with brand, price, style, and size recommendations as well as local stores where you can purchase an excellent beginner’s ukulele. Contact us and we’ll have him reach out to you! Required: Five days before the start of the program, important documents will be sent to the email address you provided at registration. Duncan Perry is a popular ukulele performer and teacher. He believes studying an instrument makes the brain sharper, helps reduce stress and brings joy to the uke players and audiences. He has taught the powerful ukulele to almost 700 individuals!

RESIN ART: ORNAMENTS

SEA GLASS HANGING DECORATION

WOOD SLICE DECORATION
